OPEN SKI MOUNTAINEERING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP – SPRINTS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
1. part: 50 m of elevation on skis,
2. part: 20 m of elevation on foot,
3. part: 10 m of elevation on skis (to upper plateau),
4. part: descent on packed surface between flags and slight uphill towards finish.

Overall: 80m+/80m-

ORGANIZER:
Turnosmučarski klub LiMa in colaboration with municipality of Črna na Koroškem, ski club Črna na Koroškem and Alpine Association of Slovenia.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:
Skitouring skis (women min. 150 cm, men min. 160 cm), touring poles, touring helmet, skins and a backpack.

CATEGORIES:
Juniors M,W (2003 and younger), Senior M,W (2002 and older)

RULES:
The start numbers must be worn on the left tight and on the backpack.
All transitions must take place in the designated areas (marked with nets and flags). During the transitions the poles must be placed on the ground.
The competitors must follow flags on the downhill.
Min. required weight of ski with binding is for men 780 g and for women 730 g.
Min. required weight of ski boots is for men is 500 g and for women 450 g.
The skins must be place on at least 40% of ski.
The equipment must be authorised by ISMF and must not be modified. Helmet must comply with the ISMF standards (CE and UIAA certificate).
The competitor must be in the start area at least 5 min before his start.
Best 24 Senior men in the qualification advance to the quarter-finals.
Best 12 Junior men, women and Senior women in the qualification advance to the semi-finals.
The first three competitors from every group advance to the semi-finals/finals.
